OnePlus 9RT launch ahead soon: Sony IMX766, 120Hz AMOLED

The OnePlus 9 series currently consists of three smartphones, with a fourth device expected to be released in the near future. In accordance with a recent report, OnePlus is preparing to unveil the OnePlus 9RT smartphone in the month of October this year. According to the source, it would be an updated version of the OnePlus 9R, which is now only available in India. Furthermore, the OnePlus 9RT will only be available in a restricted number of regions, with India being the first to receive it.

Additionally, according to the same claim, there are two additional Nord devices in the works for release in the near future. For this year, however, it will be the OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9, with the OnePlus 9RT being positioned below and replacing the OnePlus 9R, which is already on sale in the market.

With regards to the hardware, the OnePlus 9RT is said to be equipped with a 120Hz high refresh rate AMOLED display, a slightly modified Snapdragon 870 processor, and a 4500mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. It is also expected to have a 50-megapixel sensor from Sony, similar to the one found on the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus Nord 2 smartphones.

The OnePlus 9RT is likely to launch in India and China later this year. While there is currently little information available regarding this smartphone, we expect more information to become available in the near future. In light of the fact that the launch is not far away, there are certain specifics that have become public, which are summarized here.

At this time, there is no information available on the cost of the OnePlus 9RT. The fact that it will be a slight update over the OnePlus 9R is already known to us. The base model of the OnePlus 9R is now available for Rs 39,999, which means that the future model should not be priced more than Rs 45,000. For all we know, the OnePlus 9RT may simply be an upgraded version of the OnePlus 9R, which will remain at the same Rs 39,999 pricing range.

Specifications of the OnePlus 9RT

An Android Central rumor claims that the OnePlus 9RT will be the brand’s next flagship smartphone, joining the OnePlus 9 and its predecessor, the OnePlus 9. According to the rumor, it will be an improved version of the OnePlus 9R.. The OnePlus 9R and the forthcoming smartphone will only be available to users in India and China, similar to the OnePlus 9R. Furthermore, according to the website, the OnePlus 9RT will be the only handset with a serial number that will be released later this year. However, two additional Nord models are planned to be released in the near future.

A 120Hz AMOLED display is believed to be included in the specifications of the OnePlus 9RT in terms of its hardware. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset will be upgraded to provide additional power to the smartphone. The Snapdragon 870+ will be essentially a Snapdragon 870 running at a little higher speed; it is conceivable that Qualcomm may refer to it as the Snapdragon 870+ instead.

Additionally, the smartphone will be equipped with a 4500mAh battery that will be capable of 65W rapid charging.

The camera section is likely to receive a significant boost. According to the rumor, the OnePlus 9RT would be equipped with a Sony IMX 766 sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels. The same lens is utilized in the OnePlus 9 series as well as the OnePlus Nord 2 and other smartphones. While no additional camera specifications have been revealed, it is possible that the primary sensor may be joined by lenses similar to those seen on the OnePlus 9R.

Aside from that, we anticipate improved camera performance on the OnePlus 9RT, especially in light of the recent merger of OnePlus and Oppo. OnePlus Nord 2 has also received a significant camera update, which is worth mentioning. As a result, we are optimistic that the partnership will benefit the next OnePlus smartphones even more.

In addition to running OxygenOS 12 on top of Android 12, the OnePlus 9RT will be the company’s first smartphone to do so. Collaboration between the brand and Oppo has also resulted in certain software modifications. All of these modifications may be seen in the freshly released OnePlus Nord 2. As part of the 9RT investigation, it claims to have discovered some new features in an internal build of the OxygenOS 12, which was discovered by the organization. Users of this version of OxygenOS will be able to use floating windows, which is comparable to the functionality available in ColorOS 11. Users would be able to scale the window to suit any portion of the screen thanks to this functionality.

Aside from that, OxygenOS 12 will have a new theme shop that will be comparable to the one seen in ColorOS. Additionally, security features like setting up security warnings for programs that access the clipboard and a private safe to store important documents, photographs, videos, and other media are possible. Despite the fact that OxygenOS 12 will have a number of new features, the general user interface (UI) is expected to stay the same as OxygenOS 11.3.

Launch Date and Prediction

In addition to India and China, the OnePlus 9RT is expected to launch in a number of other regions. The OnePlus 9RT is likely to be introduced in India in October, maybe around the middle of the month, but a precise launch date has not yet been announced by the company. Diwali, the Indian festival of lights, is celebrated on November 4, and it is conceivable that OnePlus may seek to take advantage of the sales season leading up to the holiday.
